Nikki Romain is the Director and Producer of That's What She Said – Peoria, IL, a live storytelling event that brings women speakers to the stage to share real experiences, hard-earned lessons, and personal triumphs. Through honest, powerful narratives, the event creates space for connection, reflection, and community-wide inspiration—reminding audiences that empowerment often begins when someone chooses to tell the truth out loud.
With more than 25 years of stage and leadership experience, Nikki's work is rooted in the belief that storytelling is more than performance—it's a catalyst for healing, courage, and change. Her journey from performer to purpose-driven leader shaped her commitment to producing experiences that center authenticity, amplify women's voices, and help others move forward even while carrying fear, doubt, or pressure.
Nikki is also the co-founder and CEO of ART INC., a nonprofit dedicated to using creativity as a force for youth, family, and community transformation. Across every stage she steps onto—and every stage she builds—she leads with values that prioritize authenticity over perfection, community over competition, and impact over income.
As a wife, mother, nonprofit leader, and speaker, Nikki is known for bringing both structure and heart to the work of transformation. She speaks candidly about real-life seasons of growth and challenge, and she remains committed to creating spaces where others feel seen, supported, and empowered to take their next brave step forward.
